Open the AgentPage dashboard and sign in with email. There is no password—AgentPage sends a one-time magic link.

  1. Go to https://app.agentpage.site/ or open the dashboard.
  2. Enter your email and choose Email me a link.
  3. Open the message from AgentPage <login@mail.agentpage.site> (the link expires in about 15 minutes and can be used once).
  4. You arrive at your account dashboard.

When you connect ChatGPT later, authorize this same AgentPage account so your assistant can manage the websites you create.

Connect AgentPage

ChatGPT is the primary way to use AgentPage. Connect once, then create and update websites from chat.

Before you connect: Use ChatGPT on the web (custom MCP is not available in the mobile app). AgentPage needs MCP tools with write actions to create and publish sites. OpenAI documents full write access for Business and Enterprise/Edu workspaces; Pro is documented as read/fetch-only for custom MCP. A workspace admin may need to add the connection or grant Create plugins with MCPs. Plan and workspace details.

Server URL

MCP server URL
https://mcp.agentpage.site/mcp

Setup steps

  1. In ChatGPT (web), open Plugins.
  2. Select +, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Name it AgentPage.
  4. Paste the Server URL above (keep the /mcp path).
  5. Choose OAuth. Do not paste API keys or access tokens into ChatGPT.
  6. Accept the risk warning (I understand and want to continue), then Create as a plugin.
  7. Complete Authorize AgentPage MCP with the same AgentPage account, then install the plugin if asked.
  8. Start a new chat, type @, select AgentPage, and confirm tool actions when prompted.

Using AgentPage, list my websites.
Plan eligibility, workspace permissions, and documentation

The notes below summarize OpenAI’s public documentation for custom MCP servers. They were not verified in a live ChatGPT session for this guide.

  • Custom MCP servers are available on ChatGPT web only.
  • Full MCP with write actions is documented for Business and Enterprise/Edu. OpenAI documents Pro as supporting custom MCP with read/fetch only.
  • Business: admins/owners add custom MCP plugins. Enterprise/Edu: admins may grant Create plugins with MCPs.
  • If you only see Apps, try the legacy path: Settings → Apps → Create or Workspace settings → Apps → Create, then Scan Tools.

Advanced: Connect with Cursor

Cursor is optional. Most people should use ChatGPT. Cursor uses a local MCP process and an API key from API Keys in your dashboard (secret shown once; up to 5 active keys).

Set AGENTPAGE_API_URL to https://api.agentpage.site and point Cursor at a local AgentPage MCP package.

Current limitation: the AgentPage MCP package is not published for public install yet, so a one-command npx setup will not work on its own. Ask the person who invited you for a local package if you need Cursor.

03

Create a preview

With AgentPage selected via @, ask for a draft preview—not a published site yet.

Try this prompt
Use AgentPage to create a professional one-page website for a fictional neighborhood coffee shop called Maple & Main. Include a welcoming introduction, a sample menu, opening hours, and a contact section. Make it look good on mobile. Use clearly labeled sample details. Stage a preview and give me the preview link. Do not publish it yet.
  1. Open the preview link ChatGPT returns (it includes /_preview/).
  2. Review the text and design.
  3. Check it on a phone if you can.
  4. Ask for changes before publishing.

Preview links are reachable by anyone who has the URL. Use non-sensitive sample content while testing.

04

Refine your page

Ask for edits against the existing preview without publishing.

Try this prompt
Update the existing preview. Use warmer colors, make the heading easier to read on mobile, and add an About section. Preserve the existing content unless needed for these changes. Give me an updated preview. Do not publish yet.

Open the new preview URL and confirm only the requested changes appear before you publish.

05

Publish and share

When the preview looks right, publish it and share the public link.

Try this prompt
Publish the website we just reviewed using AgentPage and give me its public URL.

Publishing makes the website publicly accessible to anyone with the link. AgentPage does not add password protection on published pages.

Example public URL https://agentpage.link/your-page-name

You can also find and copy the public link later under My Websites in the dashboard (Visit website / Copy link).

06

Update anytime

Include your existing public URL so ChatGPT updates the right site and keeps the same address.

Try this prompt
Use AgentPage to update my existing website at [paste website URL]. Change the opening hours to Monday–Saturday, 8 AM–5 PM. Keep the same website URL and preserve everything else. Stage a preview first. Do not publish yet.
  1. Review the new preview.
  2. Ask ChatGPT to publish the update when you are satisfied.
  3. Confirm the public URL stayed the same.

Using your own photos

The simplest supported way to host a personal photo on AgentPage is the signed-in upload page.

  1. Open https://app.agentpage.site/asset-upload while signed in (or ask ChatGPT for the upload page).
  2. Choose a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file up to 5 MiB.
  3. Wait until the page shows the upload is complete, then return to chat.
  4. Ask ChatGPT to place the uploaded photo on a preview before publishing.

ChatGPT cannot send photo file attachments through AgentPage’s MCP tools today. Use the browser upload page for managed photos, or ask ChatGPT to embed an external https:// image URL or inline data image in the page HTML.

Your dashboard

After sign-in, manage your account at https://app.agentpage.site/account.

  • Overview — plan summary and quick counts.
  • My Websites — list sites, visit or copy the public link, download a QR code, set expiration, soft-delete, and restore from Trash.
  • Contact Forms — manage contact form settings for published sites when enabled for your account.
  • Usage & Plan — view usage (limits shown here do not block publishing yet).
  • API Keys — create, list, and revoke keys (mainly for optional Cursor setup).
  • Account Settings — session details and sign out.

Website content is created and updated from your AI assistant. The dashboard does not edit page HTML.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

I cannot find the connection option

Use ChatGPT on the web. Look under Plugins for Add custom MCP server. If you only see Apps, try the legacy path: Settings → Apps → Create (or Workspace settings → Apps → Create). If neither appears, your plan or workspace may not allow custom MCP servers yet—ask a workspace admin.

My workspace requires administrator approval

On ChatGPT Business, OpenAI documents that only admins and owners can create custom MCP plugins. On Enterprise/Edu, an admin may need to grant the Create plugins with MCPs permission. Ask your workspace admin to add AgentPage or grant access, then install the plugin and select it with @.

AgentPage is connected but unavailable in my conversation

Start a new chat, type @, and select AgentPage. Confirm the plugin is installed. Explicitly ask ChatGPT to use AgentPage for the request, and approve tool confirmations when prompted.

Authorization did not finish

Request a fresh magic link from app.agentpage.site if the email link expired. Use the same browser for sign-in and Authorize AgentPage MCP. Then retry authorization from ChatGPT.

My preview looks different from my published page

Preview links under /_preview/ show a draft. The public agentpage.link/… address updates only after you ask to publish. After publishing, wait a moment and refresh if you still see the old page.

I want to update an existing website

Paste the exact public URL into your prompt and ask AgentPage to stage a preview first. You can copy the URL from My Websites.

My photo did not appear

Use JPEG, PNG, or WebP at 5 MiB or smaller on the upload page. Wait for upload complete, return to chat, and ask for a new preview. ChatGPT attachments are not transferred into AgentPage MCP tools.

Is my published website public?

Yes. Anyone with the public URL can open it. Preview links are also reachable by anyone who has them. Use non-sensitive content.
